India accounts for 43% of Armenia's arms imports

During 2022-2024, India supplied 43% of Armenia's total arms imports, Reuters wrote, citing the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), Report informs.

SIPRI data shows that 43% of Armenia's imported weaponry during 2022-2024 came from India.

In recent years, India has become the primary arms supplier for Armenia's military. Contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars were signed between the two nations during 2022-2023. Under these agreements, India has already delivered—or is in the process of delivering—multiple launch rocket systems, self-propelled howitzers, air defense systems, and various combat ammunition to Armenia.

The Indian Ministry of Defense announced that the total value of arms contracts signed for the 2024-2025 financial years reached $600 million.
