Ibrahim Kalin discusses ceasefire in Gaza with Hamas

Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) head Ibrahim Kalin had a telephone conversation with Hamas Political Bureau Deputy Chairman Khalil al-Hayya, Report informs via TRT Haber.

During the telephone conversation, the ceasefire negotiations conducted under the leadership of US Presidential Special Representative Steve Witkoff within the framework of the latest proposals delivered to Hamas were discussed.

Türkiye's joint efforts with the international community to end the humanitarian tragedy and destruction in Gaza were noted.

During the discussion, it was noted that Türkiye stands by the Palestinian people and the issue of prisoner exchange, as well as allowing humanitarian aid, was also touched upon.

The importance of continuing the negotiations with the mediation of the US, Qatar and Egypt was also emphasized.
