The priority of the financial block is price stability, the head of the Central Bank of Türkiye, Hafize Gaye Erkan, said after negotiations with the country’s banks and the Association of Turkish Banks, Report informs via Turkish media.
“We had productive talks. Banks expressed their requests to us as part of the ongoing process of simplifying macroprudential regulation. All of our economic divisions have rolled up their sleeves and are working towards lowering inflation. This task was determined by the government. Price stability is very important for overall financial stability, and we will fight inflation,” Hafize Gaye Erkan said.
