Hakan Fidan: UN unable to address current global challenges

The United Nations (UN) is currently unable to respond to the current global challenges, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at the opening of the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, according to Report.

"This year, our forum once again brings together different voices and perspectives. The event has quickly gained significant international interest, and based on this, we can say that it meets the global demands. Over the next three days, we will work to shed light on the issues that concern the world. Here, we will collectively discuss new platforms for cooperation," Fidan stated.

The Turkish Foreign Minister emphasized that the current global situation has led to a fundamental shift in diplomacy.

"Right now, we are witnessing a new arms race, and the greatest threat to the international system is the uncertain future that may arise as a result of the current situation. Multipolarity requires proper governance, and the UN must align with modern requirements," Fidan added.
