Hakan Fidan: Türkiye ready to take all steps for lasting peace between Russia, Ukraine

Türkiye is ready to take all steps to ensure lasting and stable peace between Russia and Ukraine, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Report informs

Speaking at the opening of the second meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul, the minister highlighted that the main issue now is ensuring lasting peace:

"If peace is achieved, many issues such as food, energy, and logistics experienced on a global scale will be resolved. As Türkiye, we are ready to take all necessary steps in this process. The trust of both countries in Türkiye is very important to us. We believe that you will take advantage of this opportunity to bring us one step closer to peace. We hope that the discussions will yield good results for the Russian and Ukrainian peoples."
