Hakan Fidan: Russia realizes supporting Bashar al-Assad is unbeneficial

Russia has long since concluded that supporting Bashar al-Assad will not benefit either itself or the region, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated, Report informs.
Speaking at a briefing for local and international media representatives, Fidan noted that the capture of Aleppo has further reinforced this idea: "Otherwise, military capabilities could have been used. In other words, there was no point in repeating the mistake of 2016."
