Grigoryan: Armenia discussing with Russia withdrawal of peacekeepers from 17 deployment points

Armenia and Russia have started discussing the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from 17 deployment points on Armenia-Azerbaijan border, including Nerkin Hand, as well as Sisian and Goris, bases that supported the activities of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, formerly located in Karabakh, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan said, Report informs referring to Armenian media.
“They accepted this and asked if we wanted them to leave the Armenian-Iranian and Armenian-Turkish borders. We replied that their deployment in these areas is carried out through an agreement,” he noted.
Grigoryan also said that Armenia informed the Russian side that only Armenian border guards would be present at Zvartnots airport.
