Garegin II leaves for US on patriarchal visit

Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II has left for a week-long patriarchal visit to the US, Report informs referring to Armenian media citing the chancery of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

"The Catholicos will visit the Eastern American Diocese of the AAC (Armenian Apostolic Church), where he will hold meetings with the head of the diocese, representatives of the clergy and benefactors of Etchmiadzin to discuss the projects and programs being implemented," the chancery noted.

There are two dioceses of the AAC in the US - the Eastern American Diocese includes the eastern part of the US.
