G7: Resolution of Iran crisis should lead to reduction of tensions in Middle East

A resolution to the Iranian crisis should lead to a reduction in tensions in the Middle East and a settlement of the situation around the Gaza Strip, according to a joint statement of the leaders of the Group of Seven (G7) countries, published by the Canadian government on Monday, Report informs.

"Iran is a major source of regional instability and terrorism. We have consistently stated that Iran should never have nuclear weapons. We call for a resolution to the Iranian crisis to lead to a broader de-escalation of military operations in the Middle East, including a ceasefire in Gaza," the participants of the summit noted.
