French FM Barrot: Peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan crucial

France considers the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia to be of critical importance, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said during a press conference in Yerevan.

Report informs, citing the press service in Yerevan, that Barrot emphasized the strategic importance of the South Caucasus region, calling it a "key communication hub for Europe." He added, "In this context, we believe that a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan is essential."
