French companies to participate in infrastructure project in Armenia's Syunik – Deputy FM Kostanyan

French companies are expected to be involved in the implementation of a key infrastructure project in Armenia’s Syunik region in the near future, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan said during the opening of the fifth Armenia-France Decentralized Cooperation Conference.

According to Report, citing Armenian media, Kostanyan highlighted that hosting the conference in the city of Goris aligns with Armenia’s broader objective to promote development and sustainability in regions of strategic importance, particularly Syunik.

Kostanyan noted that relations between Armenia and France are currently at an unprecedented level, also pursuing the goal of helping Yerevan overcome regional challenges.

Carmen Apounts, Director of the Francophonie Center in Goris, has been appointed as the Honorary Consul of France.
