Five people arrested after cable car accident in Türkiye

The Turkish court has detained five people in connection with the cable car accident in Antalya, Türkiye, which injured many people, Turkish Justice Minister Yilmaz Tunc said on X, Report informs.
“After assessing the preliminary report of experts... 5 people out of 14 previously detained were arrested, judicial control was introduced against 8, and one was released,” he wrote.
According to the IHA news agency, one of those arrested is the head of the Kepez district municipality in Antalya, Mesut Kocagoz, who previously served as head of the ANET company that serves cable cars.
Previously, Tunc said that the cause of the cable car accident in Antalya could have been the corrosion of metal structures.
