A fire broke out in a private house in Astrakhan, Russia, killing five children, the regional Investigative Committee announced on Sunday, April 20, Report informs via Izvestia.
"During the inspection, it was established that at [03:20 GMT+3] on April, a private house on Olkhovskaya Street in the Kirovsky district of Astrakhan caught fire," the Telegram channel said.
After extinguishing the fire, firefighters found the bodies of five children aged 4 to 11 years. The mother of the dead children was not at home, the ministry said.
All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
Earlier, on April 17, four children died as a result of a fire in a private house in Sosnovo. At the moment, the circumstances and causes of the incident are being established.
