First Russian-Arab summit to be held in Russia in October

The first Russian-Arab summit is planned to be held on October 15 in Russia, Report informs via Russian media.
Russian President Vladimir Putin invited the leaders and Secretary General of the League of Arab States (LAS) Ahmed Aboul Gheit to take part in the summit.
"We intend to continue to develop constructive dialogue with the LAS in every possible way, as well as friendly relations with all its members. In this regard, I would like to invite all the leaders of the states of your association, as well as the Secretary General of the League, to take part in the first Russian-Arab summit, which we plan to hold on October 15," Putin noted in a telegram on the occasion of the opening of the 34th LAS summit, which was published on the Kremlin website.
In it, Putin expressed confidence that the event will contribute to the further strengthening of mutually beneficial multifaceted cooperation between the countries, and will help ensure peace, security and stability in the Middle East and North Africa.
