European Commission: EU allocated 90B euros to Ukraine since 2014

The EU has allocated 90 billion euros in financial assistance to Ukraine since 2014, and next year Kyiv will receive another 18 billion euros, President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen said during her speech at a conference in Paris dedicated to assistance to Ukraine, Report informs.

She noted that 18 billion euros will be divided into 12 months, that is, Kyiv will receive 1.5 billion euros monthly. The money will be allocated in the form of soft loans.

Earlier it became known that the permanent representatives of the EU countries unanimously approved the allocation of 18 billion euros to Ukraine in 2023.

As clarified in the Council of the European Union, this short-term loan assistance is intended to finance urgent needs of Ukraine, restore its critical infrastructure and initially support the country on the path of European integration.
