Esmaeil Baghaei: Iran has not sent any messages to Israel through other countries

Iranian authorities have not transmitted any messages to Israel through intermediaries, Report informs, citing Spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has not sent any messages to Israel through any country," he said, commenting on claims that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian asked his Cypriot counterpart to convey a message to Israel.

Earlier, The Jerusalem Post, citing its own sources, claimed that Tehran had reached out to Washington through intermediaries, calling to stop Israeli strikes. The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, in turn, told journalists that he intends to contact Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to convey “some messages” at Tehran’s request.
