Erdogan: Türkiye still advocates for peace and diplomacy

Türkiye does not want to see chaos, war, oppression, as well as the death of civilians in the name of humanity and advocates for the idea that areas where they are located should not be targeted, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum in Istanbul, Report informs.

The president said that Türkiye has always expressed this view both in the Russia-Ukraine and India-Pakistan conflicts, as well as during the Israeli attacks against the collapsed regime in Syria and currently Iran.

Erdogan emphasized that those who remain silent about humanitarian tragedies also bear direct responsibility:

"As Türkiye, we have never changed our position and have not hesitated to stand by the oppressed. Today, also we advocate for peace, diplomacy and justice."
