Türkiye has never questioned the nationality or identity of those seeking help, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said during a meeting held on the occasion of World Human Rights Day, according to Report.
President Erdogan regretfully noted that human rights are currently perceived as privileged rights applicable only to people in certain regions of the world. "When it came to Syrian migrants, many remained silent. But what was the result? Conscience, justice, and humanity prevailed," he emphasized.
Erdogan expressed that with the end of the dictatorship regime in Syria, the doors to peace and security have opened. "Those who want to know what a dictatorship regime is should watch the prison footage from Syria," he added.
