Erdogan to be candidate of People’s Alliance in 2023 presidential elections

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be the candidate of the People’s Alliance in the presidential elections in 2023, said the head of the Nationalist Movement Party Devlet Bahceli, a member of the alliance, Report informs citing foreign media.
The next general elections in the country - both presidential and parliamentary - will be held in Turkey in June 2023. The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) previously formed the People’s Alliance.
“Our presidential candidate is clear, this is Recep Tayyip Erdogan. I believe that Erdogan will win by a wide margin in the elections in June 2023, and the People’s Alliance will also gain a new victory,” Bahceli noted.
