Erdogan: Important to develop relations with new leadership of Syria

It is necessary to develop relations with the new authorities of Syria, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the 17th ECO Summit, Report informs.

He noted that the new stage, which is the result of the long-term struggle of the people in Syria, creates hope for the region: "This is a critical and important period for the continuation of financial support of the international community in this matter and the development of relations with the new leadership (of Syria). We must also support the security, peace and development of Afghanistan, which is important for the region."

Erdogan expressed condolences at the summit in connection with the terrible terrorist attack that took place a few days ago in Pakistan.
