Erdogan: Greece violates terms of Lausanne Treaty

Greece violates the terms of the Lausanne Treaty, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Report informs, citing Anadolu Agency.

“With the Lausanne Peace Treaty, our land borders were drawn, capitulations were canceled, the rights of the Turkish minority remaining in Greece were guaranteed, and the non-military status of the Greek islands close to our shores was confirmed. Turkey has carefully followed the implementation of the Lausanne Treaty for the past 99 years. However, in the recent period, the terms mentioned in the agreement, especially the rights of the Turkish minority, have been violated by Greece,” Erdogan added.
