Earthquake of magnitude 6.5 jolts Kuril Islands

An earthquake of magnitude 6.5 occurred in the Kuril Islands, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said.
Report informs citing the Russian media that the epicenter was located 107 km southeast of the Russian city of Kurilsk. The source of the earthquake lay at a depth of 13 km.
There are yet no reports about possible casualties or damage.
