Detention of Armenian MP extended by 3 months

A Yerevan court has extended the detention of Artur Sargsyan, a member of the Armenian Parliament from the “Armenia” faction, by three months, Report informs via Armenian media outlets.
Judge Karen Farhoyan ruled that there is a risk Sargsyan could interfere with the ongoing investigation and that alternative preventive measures would not be effective.
Earlier, the same judge also extended the detention of other defendants in the case related to the “Sacred Struggle” movement—Lidiya Mantashyan, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Arman Israelyan, and Vaagn Chakhalyan—by three months.
