Dashnaktsutyun youth wing member Chamicyan arrested for two months in Armenia

A member of the youth wing of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) party, Andranik Chamichyan, has been arrested for two months, according to his lawyer Ruben Melikyan, Report informs via Armenian media.

The decision to choose a preventive measure was made by the court of first instance of the administrative district of Ajapnyak. It was previously noted that Chamichyan is a defendant in a case of plotting a terrorist act.

On the morning of July 10, searches were conducted in the homes of several Dashnaktsutyun members. As a result, seven people were detained and taken to the Investigative Committee.

All of them are involved in a case related to the plotting of terrorist acts and the illegal circulation of weapons, ammunition and explosives.
