China is ready to provide a grant of 1.5 billion yuan (over $207 million) to all five Central Asian countries in 2025, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at the Second Central Asia–China Summit in Astana, according to Report's Kazakhstan bureau.
"We are ready to provide this 1.5 billion yuan [over $207 million] grant this year to the five Central Asian countries to improve the well-being and social development," Xi said.
Additionally, over the next two years, China will provide 3,000 professional training quotas for these five countries.
The Chinese leader stressed that cooperation in education and culture is no less important than in economics: "Language courses for Central Asia will be opened at Chinese universities."
