The Council of the European Union continues its efforts to organize a meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, the President of the Council, Charles Michel, said in his interview with Azatutyun, Report informs.
He said that a peace agreement is needed to regulate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan: "This peace agreement should be based on the demarcation process. At the same time, it can be a positive basis that we can use as a tool for our cooperation in the region. This is a good thing for the development of the economies of other countries in the South Caucasus region, including Georgia."
According to him, the main direction of the negotiations is the regulation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
