The EU has a strategic interest in developing cooperation and mutually beneficial relations with Türkiye, EU Council President Charles Michel wrote on X, Report informs.
“The EU has a strategic interest in a stable and secure environment in the Eastern Mediterranean and in the development of a cooperative and mutually beneficial relationship with Türkiye. It is important to resume the Cyprus settlement talks and make progress. The EU is ready to play an active role in supporting the UN-led process in that regard,” he wrote.
