Georgian Foreign Ministry summons British ambassador

British Ambassador to Georgia, Gareth Ward, has been summoned to Georgia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Report informs, citing Georgian media press.
The ambassador declined to comment to the media before the meeting at the MFA.
"A meeting is being held with British Ambassador to Georgia Gareth Ward at the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ambassador was summoned to the MFA in connection with Britain's imposition of sanctions," the First Channel reported.
On Thursday, Britain imposed sanctions on some high-ranking officials, including Georgia's Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri.
