Borrell: EU will discuss situation in Georgia

Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, asked the Political and Security Committee to convene today for an urgent discussion on the situation in Georgia, Report informs.

“I have also put it on the agenda of the November Foreign Affairs Council," Borrell said in a statement.

“Georgia is an EU candidate country and as such it has to demonstrate its commitment to European values, starting with full transparency in the election process,” the EU official said.
