Armenia will begin consultations with European Commission (EC) representatives regarding visa liberalization, said Armen Ghazaryan, the head of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Report informs.
"We will start consultations with our colleagues from the relevant bodies of the European Commission and provide them with the necessary database. Based on this, EC experts will prepare a program for Armenia. However, note that this is not a negotiation plan, but rather a program developed and presented by the EC to the country, showing the necessary conditions that, when met, will enable visa liberalization," he said.
However, Ghazaryan did not disclose the approximate timeframe for completing the visa regime liberalization process with the EU.
