Armenia admits that shots fired at Azerbaijani border guards

Armenia has officially admitted firing at Azerbaijani border guards on the conditional border between the two countries, according to the statement by the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia, Report informs via News.am.
“Expressing regret over the incident, at the same time appropriate measures were taken in order to strictly observe the rules of border guard duty by Armenian servicemen while performing border guard duties and to exclude similar cases,” reads the statement.
It added that an investigation is being conducted to ascertain the circumstances of this incident and to bring the guilty persons to criminal accountability.
