Archbishop Galstanyan sues MP from Civil Contract Party

Arrested Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan has filed a lawsuit against Vagharshak Hakobyan, a member of Armenia’s parliament from the ruling Civil Contract faction.
Report informs via Armenian media that Galstanyan is demanding 3 million drams ($7,500) from the MP for defamation and insults.
Earlier, Galstanyan’s defense team filed lawsuits against Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Chief of the Prime Minister’s Staff Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan, Public Television host Petros Ghazaryan, Civil Contract MPs Asmik Hakobyan and Vahagn Aleksanyan, as well as five other public and political figures for public insults and defamation.
