Alen Simonyan: Before helicopter crash, Iranian president was preparing visit to Armenia

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi planned to visit Armenia; the visit was being prepared long before the helicopter crash, Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan told journalists, Report informs referring to Sputnik Armenia.

“As you know, the next visit (after the meeting with the president of Azerbaijan) of the president of Iran was supposed to be to Armenia. We are very sorry about what happened. Both the president and the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry were actively working in the region,” he noted.
