Aeroflot cancels 53 flights at Sheremetyevo following cyber attack

On July 29, Russia’s national airline Aeroflot canceled a total of 53 flights at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport—22 departing flights and 31 arriving ones, Report informs via Interfax.
The disruptions affected both Aeroflot-operated services and joint flights with its subsidiary airline Rossiya.
According to the airport’s online schedule, the cancellations primarily impacted flights to and from Moscow, while regional routes remained fully operational.
The company noted that approximately 80% of its planned daily flight program was completed the previous day, despite major disruptions.
Aeroflot’s IT infrastructure had been hit by a large-scale cyberattack the day before, leading to widespread delays and schedule adjustments.
