Teachers of Azerbaijani-language schools to gather for their 2nd congress in Georgia

The Second Congress of Teachers of Azerbaijani-language Schools will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia, on June 28, Aygul Isayeva, director of the Maarif organization, told Report.

Isayeva noted that the purpose of the congress is to bring to the attention of state bodies the problems experienced in Azerbaijani-language schools and ways to solve them, to exchange views and to identify prospects.

During the panel discussions, speakers will touch upon topics such as staff shortage, mother tongue, state language, bilingual education system, inclusive education, problems in textbooks, infrastructure issues, etc. In addition to teachers working in Azerbaijani-language schools, representatives of state institutions, diplomatic corps and organizations operating in the field of education will also participate in the congress.

The First Congress of Teachers of Azerbaijani-Language Schools was held in June 2023.
