On June 7, US President Donald Trump announced that the White House could impose sanctions on Russia if necessary, Report informs via Izvestia.
"Yes, [I will impose sanctions] if necessary," Trump said, answering questions from White House journalists.
He also added that the Senate bill on imposing sanctions against Moscow is "very strong," but he will personally make a decision on it.
On June 5, Trump announced his readiness to tighten anti-Russian sanctions if an agreement on resolving the situation in Ukraine is not reached before the deadline set by him. According to him, he has set an internal deadline for himself — the moment when it becomes obvious that it is no longer possible to stop the conflict.
