US State Department approves possible sale of F-35s to South Korea

The US State Department has approved the potential sale of F-35 fighter jets to South Korea for $5.06 billion, the Pentagon said on Wednesday, Report informs via Reuters.

The contract, reported to Congress, calls for the sale to Seoul of up to 25 of the Lockheed Martin-built fighter jets, considered the most capable on the market and equipped with stealth capabilities.
