US imposes new sanctions against Russia

The US Treasury has announced new sanctions against Russian companies and individuals connected to the energy sectorб

According to Report, this was stated in the department's announcement.

Report informs citing the department that key companies such as Gazprom Neft, Surgutneftegaz, Zarubezhneft, and their subsidiaries have fallen under the restrictions.

The sanctions also affected high-ranking officials of the Russian Ministry of Energy, including Deputy Ministers Roman Marshavin and Eduard Sheremettsev, as well as directors of key departments within the ministry. Additionally, insurance companies Ingosstrakh and Alfastrakhovaniye were placed under restrictions.

The sanctions list includes 183 oil tankers and a number of foreign companies and individuals suspected of trading Russian oil.
