There are currently no plans to send additional US troops to the Middle East, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said.
Report informs via foreign media that Ryder said the Pentagon is capable of increasing the number of American military forces anywhere in the world if necessary.
On the night of January 12, US and British armed forces used aircraft, ships and submarines to strike targets of the Houthi rebels from the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen. US President Joe Biden announced that the operation was a response to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea and was defensive in nature. The targets were the locations of Houthi missiles, UAVs and radars.
