On World Press Freedom Day and every day, the world must stand with journalists as they stand for the truth, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Twitter, Report informs.
"Stop detaining and imprisoning journalists for doing their jobs. Stop the threats and attacks. Stop the lies and disinformation. Stop targeting truth and truth-tellers. As journalists stand up for truth, the world must stand with them," he tweeted.
