The spirit of the Olympic Games will remind humanity of solidarity and will be a bright signal for all, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, Report informs.
The Olympic spirit is the common foundation for peace and mutual understanding. Competitors combine these qualities and inspire us all. I hope that this spirit will go beyond the Olympic Games and remind us that we belong to one family – humanity, Guterres said.
He added that achieving peace, shared prosperity and strengthening human rights has no borders.
The Beijing Olympic Games will be held from February 4 to 20.
