UN Secretary General arrives in Pakistani capital

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan, Report informs, citing his Twitter page.
He said his visit is a sign of deep solidarity with the people of Pakistan.
"I have arrived in Pakistan to express my deep solidarity with the Pakistani people after the devastating floods here.
I appeal for massive support from the international community as Pakistan responds to this climate catastrophe," the UN chief tweeted.
At least 1,355 people have died and more than 12,722 suffered as a result of flooding caused by the monsoon rains that have continued in several regions of Pakistan since June 14.
