Azerbaijani FM to take part in opening of UN General Assembly 77th session

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov is taking part in the opening ceremony of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Report informs, citing the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Azerbaijan.

“UN provides an important platform to help address the challenges in front of us,” the ministry tweeted.

The High-Level Week of the UN General Assembly has opened in New York, Report informs referring to a TASS correspondent.

At the beginning of the session, there will be speeches by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Chairman of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly Csaba Korosi. This will be followed by a general political debate in which ministers and heads of delegations will speak.

On September 20, in particular, speeches by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz are scheduled.
