Ukrainian Defense Ministry on latest situation around Kyiv

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has released updated information about the attacks of the Russian army, Report informs.

The ministry announced that the Russians attacked again with heavy weapons in the morning of March 1.

“Provocation and intelligence groups are widely used to attack civilian and military infrastructure. Defensive battles continue to prevent the enemy from advancing from the northeast to the capital. Enemy equipment and manpower are destroyed.

The Kyiv Defense Forces continue to defend the city, protect the external borders of defense and important state infrastructure, prevent the invading units from approaching the surrounding areas of the capital.

Ignoring the norms of international humanitarian law, the enemy, camouflaged in the military uniforms of the Armed Forces, National Guard and National Police of Ukraine and infiltrate Kyiv through combat units, but they are identified and destroyed.

Ukrainian fighter jet pilots shot down two Russian aircraft during an airstrike on Vasylkiv and Brovary, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said on Facebook, Report informs.
