Ukraine to receive first French Mirage fighters in January

Ukraine will receive the first three Mirage 2000-5F fighters from France in January, Report informs via RBC Ukraine.

The publication notes that the aircraft Ukraine will receive were decommissioned from the French Aerospace Forces and modified to perform more complex tasks.

In total, Ukraine may receive about 10 Mirage fighters.

According to Avions Legendaires, the first three aircraft will be delivered to Ukraine by January 20.

Some sources of the publication suggest that the Mirage aircraft are already in Ukraine but are currently being used for pilot training.

In early June 2024, French President Emmanuel Macron announced plans to transfer Mirage 2000 fighters to Ukraine. Media reported that Ukraine might receive an upgraded version of the French aircraft.
