Ukraine develops kamikaze drone with flight range of over 100 km

Ukrainian designers have created a new model of loitering ammunition that is capable of hitting targets at an operational-tactical depth of more than 100 km, Report informs referring to TASS.

The first samples have already been sent to the combat zone, and the device is going through the testing phase. The purpose of the drone is to defeat both air (other UAVs) and ground targets. It can carry a warhead weighing up to 3 kg. The speed of the UAV doesn’t exceed 180 km/h. At the same time, the name of the model is still kept secret.

A repeater drone can be used in tandem with loitering ammunition, which detects and tracks the target in anticipation of an attack drone.
