At least 20 people were killed in northwestern Nigeria as a result of militants attacking a village, Report informs, citing Reuters.
On Thursday afternoon, hundreds of armed men opened fire on miners, after which a shootout occurred in the mining village of Gobirawa-Chali in the Maru local government area of Zamfara State, resulting in more than 20 deaths, the agency said.
In Zamfara State, kidnapping for ransom has become common. Details about possible motives for the attack are still unknown.
