Türkiye, Syria to consider resuming free trade agreement

Türkiye and Syria are planning to work on resuming a free trade agreement, as indicated in a statement by the Turkish Ministry of Trade following negotiations between the delegations of the two countries, Report informs.
The discussions covered issues related to trade cooperation and customs operations, and both parties agreed to begin negotiations to resume the free trade agreement that was suspended in 2011.
Additionally, it was decided to review the customs duties that will be applied to certain goods, ensuring they are the same at all border points for both sides.
