Trump expects 'right approach' from Zelenskyy and Putin

U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should demonstrate flexibility in negotiations concerning the Ukraine issue.

Trump expressed hope that Zelenskyy “will do what he needs to do and also show flexibility.” He added that he expects the “right approach” from Russian President Vladimir Putin as well, noting, “I hope President Putin will act appropriately. If not, it will be a difficult situation.”

Trump also emphasized that he expects a proper approach from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He added that he does not plan to attend the first potential meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy, so that it can take place in a bilateral format.
