Trump says US strikes on Iran targeted radars

US President Donald Trump said Tuesday's US strikes on Iran targeted radar systems, Report informs, citing his interview with Fox News.

Trump said Iran had been trying to repair the radars and that US forces waited until the work was completed before striking them.

He also warned that the United States would respond with stronger strikes if Iran continued retaliatory attacks against US targets in the region.

Trump added that he was not seeking an agreement with Tehran, saying previous attempts had failed.

Axios earlier reported that Trump and senior aides were considering limited strikes on Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz to prevent Tehran from rebuilding radar and missile capabilities used to threaten shipping.
